Late Dr. Nilkanth Rajaramji Bhagat was a visionary scientist who dedicated his life to the field of genetic sciences and sustainable agriculture. With over 60 years of experience in agricultural research and development, Dr. Bhagat was a passionate advocate for sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices.
Dr. Bhagat's expertise in genetics enabled him to develop innovative and effective farming techniques that promoted soil health, crop productivity, and environmental sustainability. His research also focused on developing new crop varieties that were more resilient to climate change, pests, and disease.
In addition to his scientific achievements, Dr. Bhagat was committed to promoting social justice and equity in agriculture. He believed that access to healthy and sustainable food was a basic human right, and worked tirelessly to create opportunities for small-scale farmers and disadvantaged communities.
At Nilraj Farms, we continue to honor Dr. Bhagat's visionary leadership by continuing his legacy of sustainable agriculture practices, and working towards a more equitable and just food system.
About Us
At NilRaj Farm, we are committed to producing fresh, healthy, and sustainable food for our community. Our farm is located in the river side of Yashodhara river of Borgaon (aloda), where we grow a variety of crops and raise free-range chickens, Goats, and cows.
Our History
NilRaj Farm was founded in 1975 by Dr Nilkanth Rao Rajaramji Bhagat, who wanted to create a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly alternative to industrial farming. They expanded the farm over the years to include more crops and livestock.
